experiences from their university days. So when Shannon Vineyards started harvesting grapes it was a natural progression that
the grapes found their way to their next home at the new multi-level Newton Johnson cellar. The Newton Johnson winery makes
use of all the latest gravitational engineering principles and grape sorting techniques. This ensures that the clean fruit
benefits from minimal handling and therefore minimal winemaking intervention.
It is this close working relationship between the Newton Johnson family and Downes brothers over the years
that has made this journey so successful. Husband and wife, Gordon and Nadia Newton Johnson nurture the winemaking at the
Newton Johnson cellar.
